The College of The Resurrection is seeking to appoint a priest with appropriate pastoral experience to the role of Dean of Pastoral Studies. The priest appointed will join the small team of five core staff at the college which uniquely shares in the life and worship of its founding religious community, The Community of The Resurrection.
The college was founded in 1903 and the Mirfield heritage holds together Tractarianism, Christian Socialism and a history engagement as well as the liturgical and spiritual vitality of a monastic community. Today, students are drawn to Mirfield by its rhythm of life and worship, by the common life of the college community and by its opportunities for learning. The College community is hoping the new Dean of Pastoral Studies will enter into the life of the College and share in all its joys and challenges, that they will give us an example of priestly life and enable students to gain insights and experience that will inform their own future ministry.
Potential applicants are invited to arrange an informal conversation with the interim post-holder, The Revd Canon Cathy Rowling (crowling@mirfield.org.uk), or with the Principal, Bishop Mark Sowerby (msowerby@mirfield.org.uk).
