We live together as brothers in Christ, rooted in the Anglican tradition and formed in the monastic round of prayer, worship and ministry. We welcome others to come, see, learn and share. https://mirfield.org.uk/update-regarding-coronavirus-covid-19/

News from the College

February 2, 2018 by Leanne Robinson

Holy Week 2018

Watch this space for more details about Holy Week 2018.  The Holy Week lectures will be given by the Revd Canon Professor John Rodwell on the theme of ‘the Tissue of his Kingdom’.  John Rodwell has worked as an Anglican priest and scientist for over 40 years, was Professor of Ecology at Lancaster University, is currently an Honorary Research Fellow at the Lincoln Theological Institute in Manchester University and is attached to the Priory of St Mary the Virgin in Lancaster.  He provides research and expert advice for environmental agencies, and is committed to considering how God’s costly generosity is expressed in Creation.

New term at the College

The spring term began on 22nd January, with some students spending a block week in parishes, and others involved in a week  on ‘Liturgy, ritual and sacred space’, led by former College principal, the Revd Canon Chris Irvine, including visits to Wakefield Cathedal and the Hepworth Gallery.

The last week in January is the annual College retreat, and this year we were delighted to welcome the Revd Canon Dr Mark Clavier from Brecon Cathedral as our retreat conductor.

Visit or Stay

We welcome you to come to CR and to share in our life. Some come regularly to talk with a brother, others spend a day or two experiencing this very different environment. Individuals and groups come on retreat and pilgrimage, share in the teaching and courses we offer and join us in worship and meals.
