We live together as brothers in Christ, rooted in the Anglican tradition and formed in the monastic round of prayer, worship and ministry. We welcome others to come, see, learn and share. https://mirfield.org.uk/update-regarding-coronavirus-covid-19/

Terms and Conditions

Cancellation

Sadly, we have to apply charges for cancellations. We are a charity, and late cancellations severely compromise our budget as well as depriving others of the opportunity to stay with us. We obviously don’t like asking you for money if you can’t come, but we still incur costs. In addition it is difficult to resell rooms at short notice, and so we lose further income.

We therefore ask that you let us know by 9.00am on the day prior to your scheduled arrival if you no longer require your room. Between then and 9.00pm on the day of scheduled arrival, we will have to charge for the first night’s accommodation, and in the event of a no-show without any notification, we will have to charge the full cost of your booked stay.

Under exceptional circumstances, and subject to availability, it may be possible to transfer a booking to alternative dates within six months.

Dining and diets

A light, self-service breakfast is available within the B&B Annexe. We try to cater for medically essential diets; please indicate your needs at the time of booking. A number of pubs, cafes and restaurants are available in and around Mirfield for other meals during your stay.

Young People and Children

All under-18s must be booked in with an adult. You are responsible for your child at all times during your stay.

Disability access

We will always try to accommodate people with a disability, but all our en-suite B&B rooms are on the first or second floors, and there is no lift in the B&B annexe. At times, we may be able to make a ground floor room available with an accessible bathroom nearby.

We are unable to offer care ourselves, so we ask that you bring your own carer if you will need this attention. A discount may be available for carers.

If you need to bring a guide dog, it would be helpful if you could tell us in advance.

Things to know before you visit

  • Check-in is from 2.00 pm on the day of arrival and check-out is by 10.00 am on the last day.
  • Smoking is not allowed in any of our buildings.
  • We do not permit our guests to bring pets with them when they stay with us. The ONLY exception is for assistance dogs. It is not permitted to leave dogs in a car during your stay.
  • WiFi is available throughout the B&B annexe, and there is generally a good mobile phone signal.
  • Towels, soap and all bedding is provided in the rooms.
  • If you plan to explore our grounds during your stay, we would recommend you bring appropriate footwear – some areas, including paths, can be muddy.

Travel

For Sat-nav users, the postcode is WF14 0BN. Access to the car park is via the gate nearest the top of the hill on Stocks Bank Road (almost opposite Kitson Hill Road. Free parking is available for the duration of your stay. There is also a bus stop immediately outside the gate. Mirfield station is served by direct train services from Leeds, Manchester and London. For those travelling by canal, there is mooring on the Calder & Hebble navigation in Mirfield.

Other things to note

If you are planning to attend a retreat or one of our other programmed events, please contact our guest department before making an online booking.

Personal information we collect when booking is used for the Community’s purposes only, and is not passed on to others. If you wish to have your details removed from our system, please contact us.

Visit or Stay

We welcome you to come to CR and to share in our life. Some come regularly to talk with a brother, others spend a day or two experiencing this very different environment. Individuals and groups come on retreat and pilgrimage, share in the teaching and courses we offer and join us in worship and meals.
