Everyone needs time out: to be renewed in prayer, to meet God afresh, to put our lives into perspective, to listen to what is happening within. This is relevant for individuals, parishes and other groups. Why not come to Mirfield for a Quiet day?
Have you thought about a regular day at a monastery to rest, read and join in the daily round of prayer?
Quiet Days
For those who live near enough, we offer space for you to come for a personal self-directed Quiet Day, with a private room and lunch with the brethren, if you wish, or you may bring your own lunch. We can also accommodate parish Quiet Days of up to 20 people in the Retreat House Common Room which can be self-directed or, by arrangement and with sufficient notice, with input from a brother. The Guest Office will be happy to discuss your needs.
Study Days
We are also able to provide individual rooms for study for those who wish to join us for a Study Day. We have a small retreat house library available to all our guests. Your study day can also include lunch and/or evening meal, and there are facilities for making your own tea and coffee.
