The current situation regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and its forecast trajectory causes us all to be mindful of the things we need to do to protect the health and well-being of each other and to take particular care for those who are more vulnerable.

Based on the current guidance and information available, we have taken the decision to temporarily suspend the Community’s public programme (retreats and day events) and to close the Retreat House and Bed and Breakfast. At present, this is effective until 30th April 2020; we will update this advice regularly and maintain contact with those who have booked to come to Mirfield.

Following the latest direction from the Archbishops the Community Church will continue to be open during the hours of daylight to those wishing to come in for personal prayer, but we need to ask friends and visitors to abstain from joining us in public worship. Regrettably, we are also unable to welcome guests for Holy Week and Easter this year. However the Community is resolved to maintain the daily round of prayers, God being our helper, and we intend to live stream these in due course.

We will be happy to reimburse payments made in advance for bookings which cannot now go ahead, or to hold these over for a future visit. Please be assured of the Community’s prayers in these unprecedented times, and please hold in your prayers the brethren and all who share the Mirfield site.

Please contact our Guest Office if you have any queries – 01924 483346 / guests@mirfield.org.uk.
