We live together as brothers in Christ, rooted in the Anglican tradition and formed in the monastic round of prayer, worship and ministry. We welcome others to come, see, learn and share. https://mirfield.org.uk/update-regarding-coronavirus-covid-19/
The Children’s Bible
The Children’s Bible includes a comprehensive selection of stories from the Old and New Testaments, retold clearly for 7-9 year-olds. The Old Testament stories include: The garden of Eden; Cain and Abel; Noah and the ark; Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; Joseph; Moses, the plagues and the Exodus; the 10 commandments; Gideon; Samson; Ruth; Samuel; David; Solomon; Elijah; Jonah; Jeremiah; the exile and return; Daniel. The New Testament stories cover the life, teaching and miracles of Jesus, including the stories of the Good Samaritan, the prodigal son and the lost sheep; the last days of Jesus: the last supper, crucifixion and resurrection; the post-resurrection appearances; the coming of the Holy Spirit; events from Acts – Peter, Paul, Philip. Carla Manea’s richly coloured illustrations complement the text.
We welcome you to come to CR and to share in our life. Some come regularly to talk with a brother, others spend a day or two experiencing this very different environment. Individuals and groups come on retreat and pilgrimage, share in the teaching and courses we offer and join us in worship and meals.
