We live together as brothers in Christ, rooted in the Anglican tradition and formed in the monastic round of prayer, worship and ministry. We welcome others to come, see, learn and share. https://mirfield.org.uk/update-regarding-coronavirus-covid-19/
Look With Mercy: Volume 1 – Penitential Rites and Intercessions for use at the Eucharist
This collection of penitential rites and intercessions for use at the Eucharist provides valuable resource material for both ordained and lay leaders of worship.
On the subject of public prayer Fr. Eric Simmons observes, “It is a common mistake in our worship to produce and read out a list of biddings. Biddings as such are not prayers of intercession, for the simple reason that they are not addressed to God, and they do not actually ask him to do anything.”
This book will inspire by example those who lead prayers to be more thoughtful and imaginative in preparing intercessions for use in public worship.
We welcome you to come to CR and to share in our life. Some come regularly to talk with a brother, others spend a day or two experiencing this very different environment. Individuals and groups come on retreat and pilgrimage, share in the teaching and courses we offer and join us in worship and meals.
