We live together as brothers in Christ, rooted in the Anglican tradition and formed in the monastic round of prayer, worship and ministry. We welcome others to come, see, learn and share. https://mirfield.org.uk/update-regarding-coronavirus-covid-19/

A retreat for those seeking a new direction in their lives

Led by Chris Chapman

Choices face us within our relationships, work, and ministry. Sometimes we are aware of a specific choice that is ours to make; at other times what we recognise is the need for change, without seeing where this leads us. Sometimes, as we have experienced over recent months, events jolt us out of our former path and we don’t know how to respond.

Drawing on themes and prayer exercises from the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises this retreat will provide the space and resources to explore new directions, as we become aware of the invitation of the Spirit.

God desires to lead us into our own truth: a truth that will set us free and enable our lives to be fruitful.

Christopher Chapman is an experienced spiritual director and retreat leader. He is a guest director at St. Beuno’s Jesuit Spirituality Centre and an associate tutor at St. Augustine’s College of Theology. Formerly, Christopher was Spirituality Adviser for the Anglican Diocese of Southwark. He is the author of three books published by Canterbury Press:

Seeing in the Dark: Perspectives on suffering from the Christian spiritual tradition

Earthed in God: Four movements of spiritual growth

Send my Roots Rain: Refreshing the spiritual life of priests

Visit or Stay

We welcome you to come to CR and to share in our life. Some come regularly to talk with a brother, others spend a day or two experiencing this very different environment. Individuals and groups come on retreat and pilgrimage, share in the teaching and courses we offer and join us in worship and meals.
