Demystifying “Mysticism”: Praying with the Carmelite Saints

The Church has long recognised the universal relevance of the teaching of the great Carmelite saints St Teresa of Avila and St John of the Cross by granting both the status of ‘Doctors’ of the Church. And yet their reputation as “mystics” has often led us to assume a great gulf between their experience of prayer and our own. In this retreat we will question that assumption and ask what these great Carmelite saints have to say to us today.
This is a silent retreat with Fr Charlie CR.
